I always appreciate your comments Vyd, and forgive the delay: work got a little crazy on this end. Thank you for the kind words and also for taking the time to look into the work on beauty! That’s a subject Michelle and I think on very important. It’s very relevant to what you bring up, for we must ask ourselves if beauty is a sign of something which is somehow intelligible yet also somewhat beyond reason, or is it ultimately something which isn’t intelligible at all? Is it something which reason can “grow into” or is it something reason must always stand “outside of?” Or maybe beauty is ultimately just a subjective expression? Well, that’s hard to say, and exploring beauty as a case study is a good way to approach all these topics on the role of rationality and its nature. Is actually leads into something I like to call Conditionalism, which I brought up in “The Holding and the Flow” summary but am also working on another paper more directly focused on that subject.
